Margaret (Margee) Dalian Page

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and devoted friend, Margaret (Margee) Dalian Page ascended into heaven on January 29, 2016.

Margaret, a fourth generation Texan, was born to Louis H. and Alberta O.Dalian in Galveston, Texas, January 23, 1917.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her former husbands, Nick Karacostas Jr., Richard Kaysen and Theodore "Buck" Page; her son, Louis Karacostas and her sister, Lillian D. Hand.  She was survived by her daughter Peggy (Joseph) Zeigler of Lancaster, California; son Dale (Pamela) Karacostas of Savannah, and daughter Susan (Gary) Scarberry of Henderson, Nevada.  Also the following children of her husband Richard Kaysen: Maylene (Tharin) Holland, Susan (Tom) Chappell, and Julie Kaysen.  Also the children of her late husband Theodore Page: Linda (Roy) Simons, Beth (Chuck) Maner, Ted Page, Jr., and Nancy (Jesse) Matson.  She is survived by five grandchildren: Robert (Laura) Zeigler II,  Dale (Stacy) Karacostas Jr., Margaret(Meg) K. Lego, Gary Scarberry II and Melaney (Tim) Jones, seven great-grandsons, Harrison and Preston Zeigler, Marshall and Hayden Lego, and Raylin, Cooper and Carter Jones, twelve step-grandchildren and ten step great-grandchildren.

She was married to Nick Karacostas Jr. in 1937 for 31 years; to Richard Kaysen in 1972 for 30 years and married Theodore M. Page in 2004 for ten years.

Margaret loved life and lived it to it’s fullest.  She was adored by her husbands and children.  Her capacity to love was unusual and she never met a stranger.  She loved unconditionally, having family and friends all over our country.

She was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church and the Spice Company Group there.  She was a former member of the Junior League in Galveston; the Savannah Symphony Guild, Savannah Symphony, Civic Music Association, Savannah Art Guild, Telfair Academy of Arts and Science, Savannah Golf Club, Kensington Park and Windsor Forest Garden Clubs and one of the organizers of the Garden For The Blind in Forsyth Park.  She was also a member of the hospital auxiliary in every city she lived, in Florida, Texas and Georgia.  She was also a member of the Republican Women's Club and League of Women Voters.

She is a donor to the University of Georgia Medical College and her remains will later be interned at her family plot.  Memorial service will be conducted at Bull Street Baptist Church on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00AM.   (Visitation 10:30AM)

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bull Street Baptist Church.
